i took some photos yesterday of lars. i tried very hard to get cute shots like i had last year. oh, but wait! last yr lars was 6 months old and sat like a bump on a log and smiled for me on command. this year, he does not sit still. ever. oh wait! i know! he will sit still for 2 cartoons. ha! perfect plan. i turned on a show and much to my shegrin, he still wanted to bat the camera and run around. soooooo.....another project scrapped.
here are some shots from last night's disaster shoot

12 days until christmas and ive just ordered everything online. done. most of the gifts i have sent to my parents house, since we will be there on xmas morning. and then a ton of books. i also ordered gifts for our nephews and that's about it. just a few more items and we are finished. i really dont understand shopping in stores. i think i will probably never do it again. again. i also get free shipping most of the time, so its really quiet lovely.
this week - candy garland, finish tree, wrap whatever gifts arrive, and holiday brunch saturday. that's enough.

busy week ahead - consulting, cleaning, decorating, visting. i have a martha stewart mag sitting on the coffee table waiting for me! damn.
today is lars' 18month check up this afternoon. uuuuh, how i hate the shot part. and him sitting in just a diaper on my lap like WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? hate hate. there has to be a better way. wouldnt it be cool if doctors made house calls again? even for well-visits? id love it.
December one
Hello december. Lars is enjoying waffles and I'm yet again challenging my thumbs to a textting workout. Its raining like mad out there and I'm so happy lars and I don't have to venture into the wetlands. Somehow, we've misplaced/lost/broken all 8 umbrellas and just realized it this morning! Doug snagged the car umbrella en route to work. Good excuse for me to hibernate. While most of today will be spent in pajamas, I have a skype call which requires a little tidying up on my appearance. Boo (re the appaerance part, not the actual skype).
So much to write about....but later. A friend opened my eyes to cleaning with tea tree oil (duah!) And I made my first batch (of a zillion, better call some elves) of christmas tree ornaments. More later for sure.
